Ventilation device for a component on a vehicle

The guide vane directs a flow of cooling air onto a piece of equipment on a motor vehicle. It consists of a relatively steeply positioned air guide element (5) with a aerofoil profile when viewed in cross-section. It is installed upstream of the equipment to be ventilated. The element forms an upper (6) and a lower (7) air guiding channel, to both of which is distributed air flow (L) directed to the air guide element during travel. The guide element has a rounded leading edge (8) from which emanate a concave upper face (9) and a convex lower face (10).
