PURPOSE:To efficiently collect fault information to be changed at the time of the occurrence of a fault by collecting contents of registers of a processor, where the fault occurs, to store them in the fault information storage area of an internal storage device while referring to an address table provided in the internal storage device of a diagnostic device. CONSTITUTION:A fault information gathering part 3 recognizes it by information from a fault information reception part 6 that processors 14-1 to 14-n are in the faulty state. An address table 4 in an internal storage part 5 is referred to through signal lines 20 and 21 to recognize the registers from which data should be collected, and contents of these registers are read out through signal lines 26 and 27 and are stored in a fault information storage area 2 as the log-out data, and thereafter, log-out is requested to a log-out control part 9 of a service processor 8. The log-out control part 9 stores the log-out data, which is read out from the fault information storage area 2 through signal lines 24 and 25, in a magnetic disk device 11 through signal lines 28 and 29. |
