<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive sheet having both heat resistance to withstand heat treatment and extensibility when formed cut strips are collected, while satisfying the requirement for both a strong adhesion retentivity to withstand, e.g. the cutting of an adherend and such adhesion characteristics that the adhesion retentivity is decreased or lost when the formed cut strips are collected, and a process for producing cut strips. SOLUTION: This adhesive sheet has an extensible base material 1 and a holding layer 3 thereon that can be cut, with an adhesive layer 2 lying therebetween, and at least has a thermally expansive adhesive layer 4 thereon that contains thermally expansive microspheres. The process for producing cut strips comprises sticking and holding a material 5 to be cut on the thermally expansive layer of the adhesive sheet, cutting the material to a prescribed dimension and to such a depth 6 as to include the holding layer of the adhesive sheet and not to separate the base material thereof, heating the thermally expansive layer of the adhesive sheet to cause foaming or expansion to thereby reduce or get rid of the adhesive power and extend the base material, and collecting cut strips formed by cutting.</p> |
