PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide three-dimensional directional pattern data by spline- interpolating a non-existing data part by utilizing the horizontal and veridical directional pattern data. SOLUTION: Supposing that data onα=0-180 deg. relating toβ=0, 90, 180, 270 deg. exist as catalog data, the horizontal and vertical directional pattern data is input (step 1). In order to calculate the directional pattern data at every 1/3 oct. in an audible range, a band loop is operated (step 2) and whether data exists or not is confirmed (step 3). In the case of no data, 10 dB non-directional pattern data of dummy is provided (step 4) and the loop of the next band is operated. In the case where data exists, loop is operated at every 5 degrees untilα=5-175 deg. (step 5), spline interpolation is used from the sound pressure level data ofβ=0, 90, 180, 270 degrees for eachαto create data at everyβ=5 degrees (step 6). Thus, it is possible to create three-dimensional directional pattern data in a speaker single unit + a speaker box in each band.
