PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decreases the creases on a recording layer by delineating continuous grooves extending across two parts and providing the disk with inner and outer peripheral edges consisting of recording layers which cover only part of the second part of a substrates and extend to the position where the outermost parts of the grooves are not covered by the recording layers. SOLUTION: The outer region of the substrate 22 adjacent to the outer peripheral edge 16 of the disk is fully or partially coated with the remaining part of the recording layer 24 during the deposition of the recording layer 24. The outer region of the substrate 22 is cleaned by depositing a dye fittable solvent on the outer region of the substrate during the rotation of the disk 10 before the deposition of a reflection layer 30. The solvent dissolves and removes the remaining part of the recording layer 24 on the outer region of the substrate 22. The outermost parts of the grooves 30 not covered with the recording layer 24 prevent, the formation of the wrinkles during the evaporating an drying of the solvent. The non-controlled outflow of the recording layer 24 which leads to the decrease of the adhesion of the reflection layer 30 to the substrate 22 is thus averted. |
