IMAGE CODER, IMAGE DECODER AND THEIR METHODS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for provision of an interface respectively to a coder of a different coding system. SOLUTION: In the case of conducting coding by a binary black/white coder 106 or a full color image coder 107, a programmable logic device 108 is used for an interface required for coding and programming is sequentially conducted. The circuit scale is reduced by applying programming to a control interface of a buffer memory 111 required for the processing simultaneously.
