摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain the optically active isomer of the subject compound useful as an intermediate for medicines, agricultural chemicals, etc., in an excellent yield and in a good optical purity by optically resolving cis-2- fluorocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid with optically active N-benzyl-α- methylbenzylamine in a specific dialkyl ether. SOLUTION: This optically active isomer of the compound is obtained by optically resolving cis-2-fluorocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid with optically active N-benzyl-α-methylbenzylamine in an amount of usually 0.1-1.2 mole times, preferably 0.3-1 time, that of the carboxylic acid in a dialkyl ether of the formula: R<1> -O-R<2> (R<1> is a 1-6C alkyl; R<2> is a 4-6C alkyl) (e.g. methyl t-butyl ether) in an amount of usually 1-100 weight times, preferably 2-6 weight times, that of the carboxylic acid.
