The motor vehicle sun blind is installed along the edge of the windscreen (11) and is wound around a winding shaft. The winding shaft supports are fixed to and surrounded by a wall of a trimming element along which extends a slot for the passage of the free end of the blind. The blind free end is guided along transverse runners (42) located near the bottom and top of the windscreen.
