Sanding unit for coffins or casks

The sanding unit (10) for coffins (18) or casks is interposed on a conveyor chain (12) and is fitted with a set of two contra-rotating sanding brushes. The rotational axes of the brushes are directed parallel to the plane of the face to be sanded. The unit is provided with an air suction (20) for creating a vacuum to hold the wood particles resulting from sanding in the unit. The sanding unit enables the industrialisation of the sanding process.
