In a bandsaw which has a cutting saw blade section (1), the saw blade (4) is guided on each side on the saw blade section by means of a guide-drive unit (2, 3). Each such drive unit (2, 3) is designed for positive synchronous driving of the saw blade (4). The drive units (2, 3) can be adjusted in relation to one another such that straight and curved saw sections are made possible, which can also be altered during a sawing operation. The drive units (2, 3) contain chain drives having triple chains (23) which drive the saw blade (4) on each saw blade edge. |
