<p>The present invention provides an ink jet recording sheet which is excellent in image sharpness, has no waviness even after image recording and drying, has no nonuniformity of coating of the ink-receiving layer surface, and is excellent in quality of image, when the sheet is used in an ink jet recording method using aqueous ink. This object has been achieved by an ink jet recording sheet comprising a substrate made of paper composed mainly of natural pulp and an ink-receiving layer coated on at least one side of the substrate, wherein the ink-receiving layer is formed on the substrate having a density of 1.01 g/cm<3> or more, a Cobb sizing degree of 1.0 g/m<2> to 15.0 g/m<2>, an unevenness in thickness in machine direction (Rpy) of 150 mV or less and a center plane average roughness in machine direction in the whole wavelength region (SRa) of 1.6 mu m or less as measured with a tracer type three-dimensional surface roughness meter.</p> |
