<p>An aqueous coolant composition comprising i) an alkali metal acetate salt being present in an amount that will provide from 5.4 to 31 % by weight acetate by weight of water in the composition; and ii) one or more salts of an alkali metal in which the anionic moiety is selected from carbonate or bicarbonate and phosphate or mixtures thereof, said alkali metal present in an amount that will provide 0.07 to 9.5 % by weight anionic moiety by weight of water in the composition, the composition having a pH of between 9 to 12.5.</p> |
