The invention relates to a diagnostic module for testing the tightness of a container, specially in a tank ventilation system of a motor vehicle, which has a reference leak (15) tuned to a permissible container leak and which can be cross-flown by a volume flux. The reference leak (15) is formed by several orifices (22-24) arranged in a line in the direction of flow and provided with a respective throttle opening (25-27). The advantage of said diagnostic module is that the diameter of the throttle openings (25-27) is less susceptible to clogging and substantially larger than the diameter of a permissible leak hole.
