Machine with pressure beams for rows of glued wood layers

The pneumatically or hydraulically operated pressure beams (6) hold the layers of wood (A) in a pre-determined shape and position until gluing is finished. The pressure beams are contained in a profiled support (1) which is suspended from one side. After the machine has been filled with contents being pressed (A), the profiled support is folded down over the contents, and locked with a drop latch (8). The pressure beam is activated by a cylinder (4) containing a pressurised medium and via a system of lever bars (2). The pressure beam has a partly elastic coating (7).
