The apparatus has a rack 10-13 to which to which luggage may be lashed to the roof, and has two pairs of fixing devices (101, 111) detachably securing it to the roof on each side. A pair of rollers (103, 113) temporarily replace the devices at one side to allow the rack to be lifted onto the roof and lowered from it, this being controlled from the side where the remaining devices (101, 111) are situated. |
