PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the photographic element having curl resistance at the time of changeable humidity and not curling during normal use and storage by balancing the biaxially stretched sheets with the paper base of the photographic element so as to keep them flat in a wide range of change of relative humidity. SOLUTION: This photographic element comprises the paper base and at least one photosensitive silver halide layer and the biaxially stretched polymer sheet between the paper base and the silver halide layer, and the biaxially stretched polymer sheet formed on the reverse side of the paper base to the photosensitive layer, and the biaxially stretched polymer and the paper sheet are balanced together with each other so as to remain flat in a wide range of relative humidity change, thus permitting curl prevention to be attained with a thin photographic member and, since the image is flat, undesirable reflection to be prevented, and photographic images to be seen agreeably by the absence of image deformation caused by seeing the curled image. |
