METHOD AND SYSTEM THAT DETERMINE OUTPUT LEVEL OF PRINT MEDIUM OUTPUT STACK FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and system which determine the output level of the print medium output stack for the image forming device. SOLUTION: Print media are carried to the output stack 20 so that one print medium is carried at each time. A sensor 40 which is positioned in relation to the output stack 20 detects the output level of the output stack 20 nearly reaching its fullness level. At least one physical characteristic of the print media which exerts influence on the stacking of the print media is discriminated. The print media which are carried to the output stack 20 are counted. It is decided that the output level of the output stack 20 reaches the fullness level depending upon at least one physical characteristic and the counted number respectively.
