The pump shaft for drain water has a pressure pipe (2) with a submerged pump (3) sealingly connected to it. the submerged pump or a coupling connected to the pump (5) has a guide (6) movably connected to the pump. The guide and pump assembly can be axially movably mounted on the pipe. The guide can be made of two clamp sections (8) which grip around the pressure pipe. The clamp sections can be expandably attached to the pipe and can have flanges (7) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the pipe.
