Phenolic resin curatives which form nonstalining thermoplastic elastomers

A process for preparing a thermoplastic vulcanisate comprises: (a) heating a crystalline polyolefin (A) to above its softening or melting temperature; (b) mixing an unsaturated rubber (B) with the polyolefin to form a blend; and (c) crosslinking the rubber with a phenolic resin (C) curative in which some of the hydroxyl groups have been esterified. Also claimed is a product made by the process.
