POLYAMIDE RESIN FOR PRINTING INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin having good solubility and good low temperature solution stability capable of preventing troubles caused by the freezing of inks in winter by polycondensing a polymerized fatty acid, a specific aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, a polyamine and a polylactone. SOLUTION: This polyamide resin is obtained by (A) a polymerized monocarboxylic acid such as a dimer acid, (B) a 1-4C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid (e.g. acetic acid), (C) a polyamine such as ethylene diamine, and (D) a polylactone having two or more functional groups selected from hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups at the molecular ends and having a number-average mol.wt. of <=2000 preferably in an amount of 3-25 wt.% (based on the total amount of the components A-D).
