PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and safely cauterize a wide region by removably fitting a tip hood in such a manner as to surround a suction opening of a suction channel of an endoscope tip, and arranging an electrode along at least one of the inner peripheral surface and the tip surface to be connected to an external high frequency power supply. SOLUTION: An endoscope is provided with a cautery 50 having a treating means passing channel also serving as a suction channel 16. The cautery 50 comprises a tip hood removably provided on the tip main body 11, an electrode 52 fitted to the tip hood 51, and an electric wire 53. The electric wire 53 is electrically connected to the electrode 52, and removably inserted in the suction channel 16. The tip hood 51 is formed by transparent material quality to enable 1 see-through observation. By this arrangement, an inner wall part 101 of the body cavity needed to be stopped bleeding is sucked from a suction opening 13 to be sucked into the tip hood 51, and a high-frequency current is let flow through the electrode 52 to cauterize the part. Thus, hemostasis can be easily and surely performed. |
