PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant which extends the life of a bearing by filtering a lubricant with a filter having a specified pore size under a specified pressure to eliminate foreign matters causative of the troubles of a bearing or its degradation in rotating capability. SOLUTION: A lubricant (e.g. a gallium alloy) is filtered with a filter having a pore size of 10μm or lower under a pressure higher than 1 kg/cm<2> pref. in an inert gas (e.g. N2 ) atmosphere, thus enabling foreign matters having particle sizes higher than 10μm and causative of bearing troubles to be eliminated. Since the high-pressure filtration is done in an inert gas atmosphere, the generation of fine oxide particles can be avoided and foreign matters in the lubricant can be almost completely eliminated. This lubricant can be produced, for instance, by putting a gallium alloy 10 as a raw material lubricant into a pressure container 2, supplying a high-pressure inert gas into the container 2 through a high-pressure gas supply pipe 6 to pressurize the alloy 10, and thus extruding it through an output pipe 7 to cause it to pass through a pressure filter 3. |
