PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a content of trans configuration of bis(aminomethyl) cyclohexane obtained by nucleus hydrogenation, etc., of xylylenediamine used as a raw material for producing a polyamide or a polyurethane product having excellent physical and chemical properties. SOLUTION: This isomerization method of bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane is composed of the first process for synthesizing a bisaldimine compound by reacting a cis-configurated bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane with an aldehyde compound, the second process for isomerizing the resultant cis-configurated bisaldimine compound to a trans-configurated bisalidimine compound in a polar solvent in the presence of a base catalyst at 20-200 deg.C, and the third process for producing a trans-configurated bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane by hydrolyzing the bisalidimine compound under an acidic condition.
