The main member (12) of the dental articulator is a unitary structure of first (14), and second (16) bodies attached by legs (18, 20). Each of the legs has a self-hinge (22). The bodies each have a socket (30, 32) which receives a ball (48). The balls each have a tapered spline (52) which engages in the corresponding mold recess in a dental cast. The balls (48) are clamped in the sockets (30, 32) when the dental casts are in proper relative position. The self-hinges (22) permit repeatable opening and closing of the dental cast.
|
