<p>The invention relates to a 2-fluoro-3-(1-fluoro-alkyl)-pyridine-6-yl derivative of formula (I) R?1(-A1-M1)¿a(-A2-M2)b-B-R2 wherein the symbols and indices have the following meaning: group B is (a); wherein Q is F or H; R?1 (-A1-M1)¿a(-A2-M2)b is a mesogene radical and R2 is an alkyl group for example. The compounds of formula (I) are particularly suitable as constituents of ferroelectric liquid crystal mixtures, especially for displays which operate in τV¿(min)?- mode.</p> |
