Instead of providing separate rooms or areas of a room for smokers, an overhead suction device with a light inside it is used to remove cigarette smoke. - At least one suction device (13) centrally located above the room contains a centrally positioned, downwards-facing light source (22). The downwards-oriented walls (15-18) enclosing the device end at a level below it. Cigarette smoke is removed from the room via the suction device. Preferably a table (24) with its tabletop (25) at standing height is provided in a central position beneath the suction device and light source, the latter being designed to illuminate just the tabletop. |
