The headlamp closes off an inner chamber formed in a plastics housing from the outside. A heater unit is provided on the inside of the plastics cover unit. The heater unit is made from an electrically conductive layer made of metal, which is transparent and attached to the inside of the cover. Conductive strips are imprinted on the inside of the cover, or alternatively, an electrically-conductive plastics is sprayed onto the inside of the cover.
