FIELD: transport engineering; bicycles. SUBSTANCE: bicycle has drive mechanism with driving sprocket secured on shaft. Toothed hub of coupling is mounted on each end shaft. Toothed hub engages with rim which is wedged on hub by means of spring-loaded rollers (balls), each locking rim on hub. With toothed rack moving downwards, it runs over toothed rim of coupling and sets into the shaft with fitted-on driving sprocket and the latter transmits effort to sprocket of driving wheel of bicycle. With toothed rack moving upwards, it is returned into initial position under action of its spring. EFFECT: increased efficiency of bicycle. 2 cl, 7 dwgt |
