Flute with reduced sound level

The block-type (sic) flute is for use when playing in groups. The wind passage (1) is narrower than the adjacent portion (2) or the following lip. Width can be reduced by inserting strips, these being secured by adhesive tapes on both sides and being easily removable when desired. The passage can taper, and the lip can be narrower than the passage.
