PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform scattering effect of light and emitted light distribution while facilitating a working process, by providing a light guide plate, a source of light arranged at a end part of the light guide plate, and a light scattering member filled in the light guide plate. SOLUTION: Metallic strings 4 filled inside of a light guide plate is formed in a grid pattern, and grid spaces near a cold cathode tube 2 are coarse, and those far from it are dense. Such grid spaces are corresponding to pitch intervals of conventional pattern printing, and are for a purpose of guiding light from the cold cathode tube 2 to and part of the light guide plate 1. Therefore, the light traveling in the light guide plate 1 is scattered by the metallic strings 4 and the light reflected from a reflection plate 3 is also scattered by the metallic strings 4 in the direction of the reflection plate 3 in this case. Therefore, the scattering of the light is generated not only in the forward direction of the light guide plate, but, also in the backward direction, and this improves a scattering effect. Further, the repeated scattering of light between the metallic strings and the reflection plate 3 improves a degree to which the light reaches the end part of the light guide plate. |
