PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can miniaturize and reduce power consumption of equipment and apply preheating to a mercury lamp with a simple method, without using a dedicated heater or circuit, even when the temperature of the mercury lamp is low (for example, 0 deg.C or below) under a low temperature environment, when used for various electronic equipment. SOLUTION: One end of a heat radiation plate 2 is attached on a heating part 1, and the other end of the heat radiation plate 2 is arranged to touch or approach to whole or a part of the circumference of a mercury lamp 4 (except a plane in which a light-guiding plate 3 and the mercury lamp 4 face). The mercury lamp 4 is preheated by conducting the generated, heat of the heating part 1 to the mercury lamp 4 via the heat radiation plate 2. |
