The procedure consists of extruding a tubular body of aluminium or aluminium alloy to receive the heating elements (3) and fitting it with a number of thermal dissipators (12), also of aluminium, attached to the body directly or indirectly in any required configuration, e.g. by welding, rivetting or crimping. The dissipators are attached, for example, between pairs of ribs (16) projecting radially from the tubular body and extruded in one piece with it.
