<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieving device and its method in a mobile information terminal which minimizes the use of a keyboard by making main instructions buttons and improves convenience of a user by displaying retrieved samples on one screen. SOLUTION: This device includes a display part 120, a position detecting part 140 and a controlling part 110. The part 120 displays a sample display area in which information according to a retrieval instruction is shown, a connection instruction which is always shown with a limited size at a prescribed position and connects to a host 100 that at least retrieves and a button area which is equipped with plural buttons that input a shift instruction to a retrieval area and a selection instruction of a retrieval item. The part 140 detects position data that corresponds to a button that is pressed down by a user. The part 110 retrieves information from the host 100 by an instruction word that corresponds to position data which is detected from the part 140 and displays retrieved information in the sample display area of the part 120.</p> |
