PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce restriction for a setting site due to a size and a weight of the overall apparatus to improve usability by integrally providing a disk drive and a remote operating section to a body separate from a decode section. SOLUTION: A disk drive 1 and a remote operating section 2 are accommodated into a case 3 to realize such a size and a weight that can be disposed at hand of a user. Information which is read out from a recording medium by the disk drive 1 is transmitted to decoder sections 4 and 5 via cables 6 and 7, and operations of the decoder sections 4 and 5 are remote-controlled by the remote operating section 2. At this time, a bit stream corresponding to the connected decoder section is determined, and an information signal from a recording disk is output to the cable 6 or 7 in accordance with whether it is a program stream or a transport stream. Thus, the remote operating section can be placed at hand to facilitate an operation of the decoder section and an exchange operation of a recording medium. In addition, a decoder capable of handling both the program stream and the transport stream can be used. |
