<p>A saw assembly for a grip-harvester, comprising a saw chain (4) running around a bar (3), a pivotably journalled bar holder (2) and a liquid supply device (76) having at least one nozzle (78) for supplying at least one functional marking liquid to a cut surface (77) produced during a sawing operation. According to the invention the nozzle is mounted inside the saw box (13) of the saw assembly and is fixed at a predetermined distance from the tree (80), measured at the saw cut (81) to be executed, the nozzle being so directed that a liquid jet (83) encounters the bar (3) at an acute angle .alpha. and is deflected in towards the cut surface (77) via a space (82) between the bar and the cut surface. Control means are arranged to initiate supply of a liquid jet (83) when the bar has been inserted a predetermined distance into the tree (80).</p> |
