<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a force to a head easily, control the rotation of the head and drive a ball in a prescribed direction by providing a bent portion that is bent toward the ball hitting face side or the side opposite to the ball hitting face of the head and twisted by a prescribed angle in the middle portion. SOLUTION: The patter 11 is formed of a head 12, and a shaft 13 to which the head 12 is attached, and a bent portion 14 that is bent toward the ball hitting face 12A side of the head 12 is provided in the part of the shaft 13 near the head, the lower half 14A of the bent portion 14 projects along a vertical line PL perpendicular to the ball hitting face 12A of the head 12, and the upper half 14B of the bent portion 14 is twisted backward by an angleθto the lower half 14A. And the amount of projection L of the lower half 14A of the bent portion 14 and the amount of return L' of the upper half 14B are equal to each other.
