<p>A strip of a fibrous material is pressed between two translatory movable compression areas, thus obtaining a compressed fibrous mattress that is coiled up in the direction of the translatory movement for processing a roll consisting of individual coils. A constant pressure is actuated upon the total perimeter and width of a generating roll and once a desired number of coils per roll is obtained, the fibrous roll is carried away. The apparatus has got compressing and driving devices containing two belts (1, 7) the width whereof corresponds with the width of the roll, arranged with two mutually opposite areas. These areas are translatory-movable in the direction of feeding and both converge in the direction towards the entrance to a hollow (200), which has variable parameters, for introduction and coiling of the compressed strip (19) of the fibrous material. Carriers for transporting the obtained roll (23) consists of two driving belts (1, 2), the width whereof essentially corresponds with the width of the compressed strip (19). The driving belts can be switched to mutually opposite directions of a driving movement. These belts are supported by two stationary rollers (9, 13) and two movable rollers (14, 15). Rollers of the same pair are positioned mutually movable and terminate sections (17, 18) of the belts (1, 2) flexible between the straight track and the track having the shape of a part of a circle with variable radius.</p> |
