PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce the subject compound without causing corrosion trouble and requiring troublesome catalyst-separating operation by carrying vapor phase reaction by using a solid catalyst as a catalyst. SOLUTION: A carbonate represented by formula I (R<1> and R<2> are each an alkyl) is subjected to transesterification reaction with a monohydric alcohol represented by the formula R<3> -OH (R<3> is an alkyl different from R<1> and R<2> ), normally in 0.1-50, preferably 0.5-20 molar ratio (of alcohol/carbonate) at 100-500 deg.C, preferably 120-300 deg.C and 10-10,000 hr<-1> , preferably 100-5,000 hr<-1> raw material gas charging space velocity(SV), generally at normal pressures by using a solid catalyst (preferably active carbon or silicate) as a catalyst to provide the objective compound represented by formula II to formula IV. |
