PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket capable of preventing ingress and stay of rain inward from a vertical joint by partitioning a hollow part of a fitting leg piece to form a plurality of hollow chambers, and forming vent holes to be communicated with each hollow chamber. SOLUTION: A gasket body 1 comprising a water-stopping holding piece 2 having a hollow part 2a and a fitting leg piece 3 having a hollow part 3a is continuously extrusion molded in a vulcanized manner. Recessed notch parts 5... are formed at the prescribed intervals in a bottom part 4 of the fitting leg piece 3, partitions plates 7... are fitted into each processed notch part 5, and the hollow part 3a of the fitting leg piece 3 is partitioned to form a plurality of hollow chambers. Vent holes 6, 6 to be communicated with each hollow chamber are bored in a staggered manner across the partition plates 7. When a gasket is fitted to a fitting groove in an external wall plate, the outside air is introduced from the vent hole 6, the air pressure is kept equal between the inside and the outside of the gasket, and ingress and stay of rain inward from a vertical joint can be prevented. |
