The present invention describes an universal joint assembling including a transversal member having a body, and at least a couple of opposed journals outwardly extended. Journals defining a journal axis. A support cup is rotably mounted upon each journal. A fork includes a pair of opposed arms, wherein each arm has an aperture formed therethrough and aligned with the other arm aperture to receive one of support cups. Each aperture defines a cylindrical surface having a cylindrical groove with a predetermined width formed therein. Fork defines a fork axis. A spring ring with a predetermined thickness is inserted into each groove to retain support cups upon journals. Each groove width is greater than spring ring thickness to allow transversal member to be selectively placed with respect to fork. A piling-up operation fixes transversal member position with respect to fork, so that crosshead gravity center is aligned with fork axis.
