The two stroke internal combustion engine is designed with the flow, between the combustion chamber (13) and the adjacent part of the chamber (20), through a flow passage (28), controlled by a rotating valve (24). The valve controls the opening and closing of the passage and the flow of fuel and fuel/air mixture into the combustion chamber. The height (Ha),of the fuel mixture injection opening (22), is less than the distance (Hb) between the lateral exterior surfaces, in the direction of the axis of the cylinder, of the piston rings (29a, 29b) fitted on to the piston (6). A similar condition is fixed for the height (Hc) of the opening (27), which allows the compressed air into the combustion chamber.
