METHOD OF SYNTHESIS OF 2-(R)-4(5)-NITROIMIDAZOLES

FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary preparing a buffer solution of 2-(R)-imidazole in concentrated nitric acid containing ammonium nitrate at concentrated nitric acid feeding at amount 30-25% of total required one and batch addition of ammonium nitrate and 2-(R)-imidazole under constant temperature 25-30 C followed by the second portion of concentrated nitric acid feeding at amount 30-25% of total required one. Then the obtained buffer solution is kept for 0.15 h without stirring followed by the nitration stage with the rest amount of concentrated nitric acid up to 40-50% of its total consumption. The synthesized compounds are effective agents against trichomoniasis. EFFECT: increased yield of nitroimidazole, decreased yield of by-side compounds. 1 cl, 1 tbl, 4 exr
