A method and an apparatus are described which allow an ISDN subscriber to filter incoming calls and/or e-mail. A-numbers may be specified, from which telephone calls should always be accepted or rejected, respectively, and from which incoming fax should always result in a notification of the user. In addition, PIN codes may be used. E-mail addresses may be specified from which incoming e-mail should always result in a notification of the user. An incoming call on one B channel may be forwarded to any terminal in a telecommunications network by setting up a connection on the other B channel and interconnecting the connections on the two B channels. |
