<p>Metal complex containing a transition metal from groups 4-6 of the Periodic System of the Elements or a lanthanide and at least one cyclooctatetraene ligand, characterized in that the metal complex contains as a ligand at least one cyclooctatetraene compound according to the formula (I): (R'nDR)a-COT-(RUn)b where COT = a cyclooctatetraene, (C8R'8-a-b); R = a linking group between COT and the DR'n group or the Un group; D = an electron-donating heteroatom chosen from group 15 or group 16 of the Periodic System of the Elements; Un = an unsaturated hydrocarbon group; R' = a substituent; n = the number of times that R' occurs bonded to D; a = the number of R'nDR groups; and b = the number of Un groups, with 1≤a+b≤8.</p> |
