The invention pertains to a voltage transformer intended for use in vehicles. In order to carry out that voltage transformation, a plurality of small transformers operating as partial transformers are arranged parallel to each other. Owing to the sequentially connected partial transformers and the output current ripple, a steady output current flow can be obtained with a low input charge.
