<p>An IC chip (70) provided with an unsealing sensor (84) is enclosed in an IC card (30). When the sensor (84) detects that the card (30) is unsealed, the sensor (84) gives an unsealing detect signal to a CPU (76). Upon receiving the unsealing detect signal, the CPU (76) performs predetermined processing, for example, erasure of data from a nonvolatile memory (78). Therefore, even when someone tries to check the data in the memory (78) by unsealing the card (30), he is not able to know the data. Therefore, the security of the secret information of the card (30) can be improved.</p> |
