<p>A self attaching, rugged animal feeding bowl (10) for use in cages, kennels, compounds, and/or animal transportation containers. The bowl (10) is constructed of a rigid hard surfaced polymer. The material used is molded with a heavy wall thickness that greatly reduces the possibility that an animal will be able to penetrate the surface with teeth, claws, bills or beaks thus reducing the risk of destruction of the bowl (10) and harm to the animal. The bowl (10) has an attachment apparatus (7) either integrally molded with or secured to the bowl sidewall (5). The attachment apparatus (7) includes one or more slots (20) for receiving wires (12) of an animal enclosure (14). The attachment member (7) includes a male/female coupling (17, 18) that sandwiches the wires (12) of the enclosure (14) between the male/female members (17, 18) when the coupling is engaged. Ribs (52) including a center rib support (54) reinforce the attachment apparatus (7) as it is secured to the bowl (10).</p> |
