The profile (10) forming the casing (4), at least in a part area of the casing, comprises a first profile section (10') provided on the window or French window outside, a second profile section (10") for installation in the window or French window arch and extending to the window or French window inside and a third profile section (10"') which connects the first and second profile sections. The first profile section, with the window or French window closed, completely covers the leaf frame (2) on the outside. A glazing (3) of the window pane (1) is held by a glass strip located on the outside, built as a profile (7), and provided with a seal (8). The first profile section (10') of the casing profile forms a location for the seal (8) with its free end penetrating the window opening.
