The invention concerns a method for connecting coaxial cables provided with an internal conductor (14) and an external conductor (10) separated by a dielectric (16) by connecting a front body (4) fixing the cable to a rear body (8), while a ferrule (1) maintaining the cable and a socket (2) co-operate to enable an axial displacement over a predetermined distance (L) of the ferrule and the cable relative to the socket, so as to cause a deformation of the external conductor (10) which can be reproduced. The invention further discloses several embodiments of connectors designed for this connection method.
