There are chaff and straw laying devices (5) whose outlet openings are associated with the chaff and straw guide devices (6-8). They are mounted on the circumferential side on the straw separator and are driven by a speed adjuster device connected with the drive unit (12). The chaff and straw guide device comprises a chaff guide flap (7), guide plate (6) and cut straw guide plate (8) which can be adjusted by the speed adjuster. The speed adjuster comprises two reduction gear discs mounted on the shaft supporting the output discs for the chaff and straw laying device and brought into engagement alternately by the clutch.
